Overdue Review: A.R.E.S.: Extinction Agenda (PC)

While staring longingly at his Steam library waiting for Dead Space 2 to unlock, Butler killed some time with Extend Interactive's A.R.E.S., a 2.5D platformer featuring robots, explosions, and some shredding 80's style guitar.  But do these objectively awesome elements combine to make a worthwhile experience?  Short answer: Yes.
